Dear Sirs,
I would like to draw your attention to the radically new Russian medical technology which we called “Alloplant”. This trend has been for almost 30 years developed in the research laboratories of the Russian Eye and Plastic Surgery Centre. The principle of this scientific trend is that for the first time in the world we managed to regenerate human tissues, i.e. figuratively speaking “to grow” human tissues. It was achieved thanks to the invention of Alloplant biomaterial which is made from cadaver tissues by using a complicated technology. If the tissue from one man is transplanted to another man it is more often rejected. As for Alloplant it is never rejected and this fact has been proved by more than one million surgeries. Moreover Alloplant inserted into a human being stimulates regeneration of the recipient tissues. Different types of Alloplant stimulate the growth of blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, bone, sclera of the eye, transparent cornea, etc. 83 types of Alloplant are produced in the Russian Eye and Plastic Surgery Centre. 250 clinics of Russia have been using Alloplant for many years. The main peculiarity of “Alloplant” is the attraction of stem cells which in a huge number accumulate around “Alloplant” and transforming into other cells causing regeneration of the human tissues. Using Alloplant technology it became possible to treat those diseases which earlier were thought to be incurable such as: retinitis pigmentosa, diabetic retinopathy, age-related maculodegeneration, optic nerve atrophy, glaucoma, progressive myopia, retinopathy of prematurity and many others. In conclusion I may say that “Alloplant” technology originated new surgery – regenerative surgery which may help in those cases when the potentials of the traditional surgery are exhausted.
