Eye subatrophy surgery set
The alloplant biomaterials for the scleral bandage allow to create the scleral frame with the purpose of preventing its shrinkage and deformation, restoring the form and size of an eyeball. They have the expressed frame properties, such as rigidity, elasticity, high tensile strength, sufficient thickness, good engraftment and step-by-step (not less than year) replacement by the native connective tissue with the dense regenerate formation.
Alloplant for the anterior bandage has the form of a torn ring; it is laid around the cornea, and fixed to the episclera along the internal and external diameters.Alloplant for the posterior bandage has also the annular form; it is laid under the direct muscles with fixing of a graft to an episclera. The eyeball bandage surgery is performed in combination with the choroid revascularization, autolymphosorption and therapeutic retrosclerofilling.
The indication for such an operation is the eyeball subatrophy irrespective of the etiology and stage of the disease.
