Sclerostrengthening filling
Sclerostrengthening filling is a dispersed Alloplant biomaterial with the maximal preservation of the primary structure and the biologic properties, typical to the integral alloplants. The dispersed biomaterial is replaced by the densely formed connective tissue regenerate adhere to the recipient’s episclera, allowing the myopic process to stabilize. The injection method of introduction, absence of the local and systemic reaction make this surgery highly effective, non-traumatic and safe to perform it in the outpatient setting.
These alloplants are designed for low-progressing myopia stabilization with the annual progression gradient up to –1,0 dioptres and low-progressing changes in the eye fundus.
