Alloplant for the leukoma reinforcement in keratoprosthetics
The cornea leucoma tissue resists the keratoprosthesis from its forcing out of the eyeball. Therefore the success of the keratoprosthetics operation depends on the firmness of the leucoma fixation.
The leucomas strengthening alloplant in keratoprosthetics represents a dense and strong biologic material, characterised by good engraftment and it allows to achieve the leucoma thickening. It is highly effective in clinical practice. It replaces the autografts of a labium mucosa, auricle cartilage and cornea allotransplants.
