Fungi-form alloplant for sponge-drainage of the suprachoroidal space
Alloplant for thesuprachoroidal space sponge-drainage is made of a spongy biomaterial. Thanks to the original "fungi" form it allows a redistribution of the fluid from the suprachoroidal space into the subtenon’s space, stimulating the processes of ultra circulation and drainage in the vitreous. It reduces the tonus of the posterior eyeball camera. Thus the venous outflow is improved and the edema in the retinal membrane is reduced.
It is applied in the surgical treatment of the primary angle-closure glaucoma, some forms of secondary glaucoma with vitreal block, malignant glaucoma.
