Alloplant for the intrascleral sponge-drainage in glaucoma
Alloplant for the intrascleral sponge-drainage is a spongy material with a microporous structure. Its distinctive feature is the ability to rapidly adsorb the anterior chamber fluid from the filtration zone and direct it into the suprachoroidal space between the scleral layers.
It is used in glaucoma treatment (primary open angle, chronic open angle, some forms of secondary glaucoma).
