Alloplant for sponge-drainage in glaucoma is made of the spongy biomaterial («sponge»). Due to microporous structure, it intensively adsorbs the anterior chamber fluid and promotes its outflow into the suprachoroidal space, i.e. to the posterior eyeball sector.
It is applied for the surgical treatment of the primary chronic open-angle, congenital, refractory and some forms of the secondary glaucoma.
